In spite of some quite good performances and snappy dialogue, the turgid story and cheap production values really let this film down badly. If ballerina focused melodrama rings your bell, then take my advice and stick to 'The Red Shoes', 'Waterloo Bridge' or 'The Turning Point'. I wouldn't touch this with madame's practice cane.
