A very slow, subtle and difficult film that is definitely thought-provoking. Basic production and very over-used camera angles, but with an excellent plot. I nearly gave up after an hour I have to admit because I felt like I didn't know enough about the couple to care about their problems. But I'm glad I stuck with it because it had a profound effect. Having experience with the subject matter I struggled after realising what was going on, but it was acted so brilliantly and uniquely I felt assured that they knew what they were doing. For such a low budget film with little-known actors they did a superb job. I wonder if it might be more effective on stage, in a small and intimate theatre - or perhaps that's simply how it made me feel? The basic and low-budget camera work made it feel very real and straight-to-the-point. I can imagine others finding this film awful and I'm so glad everyone else (so far) has seen what I saw in it. Definitely worth watching the whole film otherwise there's no point. I would recommend to patient and open-minded people, with time and room to contemplate a little afterwards. Not a film that I could go to the pub straight after, let's put it that way.
