Stylish and dripping with repressed emotion

From the moment the film starts, and you meet Annika, you're hooked. She is a great character who exudes warmth and gentle humour. Attractive and confident, she is strangely drawn to a rather mysterious and secretive electrician. The relationship between the two works beautifully, with lots of stiff-lipped conversation, sighing, and a sizzle of sexual tension. The climax eventually comes when Annika finally hears the truth from Lasse, and then has to control her feelings whilst preparing her dance school for the end of year show.
The acting is excellent, especially Annika - I wanted her to be my best friend by the end of the film.
An interesting storyline which is hard to predict, Dancers is a great film with a strong cast.- Was this review helpful to you?
