Returning from a trip to France, Kirby finds himself being shadowed by two agents. An innocent bystander, Laura (Prunella Ransome) helps him to escape. But how innocent is Laura? After all, her stepfather is a high-ranking civil servant named Roger Thane (Patrick Allen) - and it's his operatives who are following Kirby... Who can Kirby trust?
