    Dante's Cove

I was interested to see what the gay channel in the US was producing and if this is the extent of it then I am so disappointed. While I knew it would be of limited quality I still tried to give it the benefit of the doubt. The issue is not the bad acting but rather the sencerity of the bad acting. I can find films quite enjoyable when the actors/directors and various others involved with the production of a show or film recognise it is pants and wink toward the audience to let them know this but ask them to come along for the ride and lets all have fun. But when it is pants and everyone seems to not recognise this it becomes excruciating to watch. The cd comes with the first two episodes on one disc and I couldn't make it past the first episode. I just had to return the cd. Yes, some of the actors are nice looking to an extent but not enough to suffer this mess. If you are looking for something as I mentioned above then try 'Eating Our: Sloppy Seconds'. It is not about to win any awards but at least it knows what it is and the crew look like they are at least mildly enjoying themselves.

    Plotless but pretty

If you like hunks covered in baby oil, then get this. If you like a plot to go with it, rent something else. Only managed 1 episode before tedium took over.

    crap but good crap

yeah this is quite silly but good fun. Obviously produced on a tight budget but not too bad for it. Probably best watched with a couple of glasses of wine. It's a bit saucy and so many good looking fellas - half the budget must have been spent on baby oil though! Not to be taken seriously.

    Pathetic

Sorry guys - I really tried to like this. But, rather like being determined to enjoy a night out when the food and drink is terrible, you can't sustain the effort. The acting is worse than bad, it's SERIOUSLY bad. The script is cringe-making. And worse of all, there's no humour. The thing takes itself deadly seriously, which you won't be able to, so really, there's no point!

    Beautiful people and nothing else

This has to be one of the worst things I have watched in ages.As the title says Beautiful people and nothing else is the only way to describe this piece of trash. The acting is dreadful it has some of the worst English accents I have ever heard and the special effects or should I say effects as there was nothing special about them what so ever are pathetic.Don't bother watching this unless you want to see some rather attractive people making complete and utter idiots of themselves.

Not Shakespeare but pretty damn good

I was not expecting a lot from this rental, a lot of the reviews on here are unnecessarily harsh. Of course a gay, occult-themed drama with a minimal budget is not going to blow your mind, but this is a great watch.

The story is simple, fun and interesting enough to make the frequent sex scenes both very welcome and not over-used. The actors are, of course, all ripped and tanned and gorgeous, but why should this be a problem?

If you're looking for a few hours of a hot gay version of Buffy, this is as close as you're going to get. Give it a go, you'll love it.

Poorly acted trashy gay supernatural soap opera....it was FABULOUS!

This is a show that is unlikely to ever win any awards. Its script is complete nonsense with some very dodgy acting but that is where its charm lies. It doesn't pretend to be anything other than soft core trash and you can't help liking its audacity to fill out its script with plenty of man-on-man action and even a bit woman-on-woman action thrown into the mix too. The fact that a not only a second season but also a third was commissioned (with bigger budgets and more characters!) proves that this is a guilty pleasure that is worth seeing.

    And the point is?

Not good enough to be good and not bad enough to be good either. Not a smidge of appeal, this has loads of potential to be a camp classic but fails miserably. The fact that the plot is utter tosh but acted with real intent and seriousness doesn't help. A heap of tongue in cheek would have lightened it up a treat. By the way, the soft core porn isn't worth the rental either.
