BAREDEVILBy Nigel Stafford from England , 25 Apr 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]Ben Affleck is only rivalled by John Travolta in his ability to choose very, very cheesy scripts. This is certainly not his worst choice so far -- I still get night sweats from Pearl Harbour --- but it is certainly his third worse choice after Gigli. This movie is ruined by epileptic editing. Fight scenes blinker like strobe lights - shot as they are at many different angles --- chopped as they are into one second slices, there could easily have been a flash of a penis in there and no-one would have noticed. Who is fighting who? There is a flash on the roof, and then the criminal falls to the ground. The window breaks and then there is a shadow. The other criminal fall to the ground. The swinging lightbulb pops. A penis flashes on the screen. A cat eats a Mars Bar. Daredevils velcro pants flash past. And then the fight is over. And suddenly Matt Murdock, Daredevils alter ego, is not the only person who has been blinded by waste. Colin Farrell can act - but he is poorly directed and his character is flaky at best, embarresing at worst. The target tatoo on his head screams 'shoot me'. He can't save this movie. Jennifer Garner looks great and can act, but she is poorly directed. She can't save this movie. Ben Affleck can't act AND looks bad. He definately can't save this movie.

It's not what you're really looking forBy ChrisDilke (14 reviews) from Brixham , 27 Apr 2007Though I only added the feature onto my rental list, when I did it came up with a picture for the cover art of the Director's Cut addition of this film. Yet I still received the very average original cut. If you hated Daredevil, it's quite understandable. But The Director's Cut is something very different which I've heard is well worth tracking down. It's 30 minutes longer, there's a new villain and a new plot, and further development, which gives the added action scenes and Daredevil himself a much darker atmosphere.
That's the version I want to see. But you're not gonna find it here, so forget it.
I like all Marvel comic based films but there is just one thing about themBy a customer from Birmingham, UK , 10 Apr 2007I liked watching this film it held me from beggining to end. The special effects are wicked!!! and I love the little twist in this film too it really spiked up the story line. There are some comical (funny) elements which I liked especially when he is trying to chat up Elektra. Worth the watch !!
DaredevilBy Debbie King from High Wycombe , 29 Mar 2007Not a very good fim. Not worth a watch.
Weakest of the superhero moviesBy a customer from Lincoln , 18 Jan 2007Not as bad as I have been lead to believe, but still a pretty dire superhero movie. Only watchable if you are a fan.
DisappointingBy a customer from Edinburgh, Scotland , 15 Dec 2006Daredevil was never my favourite, but after the Spiderman and X-Men movies, one could hope this would turn out OK. Wrong. The main actors (good and bad guys) are poor choices. The soundtrack is annoying. The movie's just plain silly. Movies like this confirm every bad thing critics say about superhero films.
