    High Noon below the sea

The baddies are coming in on the noon sub and no-one will volunteer to back up the Marshall who must make a stand whilst all around him dash for the exits.

The subplot about drug research to enable divers to spend longer undersea was more interesting to us but never really resolved to our satisfaction.

Didn't really empathize with any of the characters so hard to get involved.

    Pity about the goldfish !!!!!

A welcome change to Soap Opera

Whilst it's good to try and keep an open mind and watch any film without any preconceptions or reservations - particularly when you're watching a film that is a remake of a film (Outland) that was itself a remake of another film (High Noon) - there's something about this film that has feeling able to predict plot twists and who will be dead etc. simply from watching the first 20 minutes.

That said, if you were looking for Oscar award winning performances and critically acclaimed script and plotline then a 'straight-to-DVD' film probably isn't the best choice!

Although there's nothing particularly new about the plotline or the finale, or indeed the characters themselves, it still keeps moving quite swiftly along and manages to be engaging enough to keep your other half from putting Eastenders or Coronation St on instead (Thank you! Thank you SOOOOO much!) and that for me makes it worthwhile in itself!
