Darkly hilarious. Parts of this film had me laughing out loud but there are no 'jokes' in it, its people, how they are. A funny intelligent melancholic and then heartwarming film, soft and gentle about being more than doing, about life's minutae as well as the bigger things. Very real with a lovely score.

'How can a desert be excellent?...... well its full of stones. Stones are an interesting phenomena, always shifting, always on the move, always interesting. Just to be clear, a stone can be as small as 200mm and as big as 20mm..........(long pause)..... sorry, its the other way round.' - the tour guide in Spain :)
