I loved it!! I think cheesy is the whole point and doesn't always mean negative. Johnny Depp is marvellous and there are lots of laughs. Some subtle humour too all wrapped up in Tim Burton's signature style and quirkiness! A genuine auteur.- Was this review helpful to you?

Bored whilst watching Johnny Depp? Thats a new one!
By a customer , 16 May 2013I shall start with the positives... I really loved the costumes, make up, back drops and special effects! Visually this film is quite wonderful, they have really gone to great lengths to make the colors and characters pop right out of the screen and I really liked this! Unfortunately though I found the story almost completely incoherent and lazy and that stopped me from getting excited about this film. For me this is yet another cinematic let-down from tim burton and just another choppy, erratic, expensive looking and yet a completely flat and camp joke of a film from a director who is now so far removed from his glory days its actually quite depressing! I fear Burtons brand of eccentricity has well and truly deceased.- Was this review helpful to you?

Disappointing and boring.

Johnny Depp was fab as usual, his character reminded me of an adult Edward Scissorhands but with straight hair! Disappointing to say the least.- Was this review helpful to you?
