Arnold Vosloo dons synthetic flesh once more as deformed superhero Peyton Westlake in the second sequel to the 1990 fantasy horror. This time the “Urban Bigfoot” is pitted against evil drug baron Jeff Fahey, who is determined to learn the secret of Westlake's strength. Fahey enlists his mistress, the beautiful doctor Bridget Thorne (Darlanne Fluegel) to make Westlake an offer he can't refuse. With executive producer Sam Raimi (who directed the original Darkman) and returning director/cameraman Bradford May maintaining the quality and integrity of both previous adventures, and a well-realised script accenting character as much as explosive gimmicks, this comic-strip horror escapade is a worthwhile addition to the series.

  • Cheap and nasty sequel, with much ham acting and a narrative that is never less than ridiculous.

    Cool film!

I'm sure if you looking at this dvd it's because you've either seen a Darkman film before or heard how good they are?Although neither this or Darkman 2 could ever be as good as the original due to no Liam Neeson and no Sam Raimi behind the camera(although he co-produced this film)this is still an excellent film which needs to be watched.Darkman is still trying perfect his sinthetic skin formula which seems to always fail after only 99 minutes. After his research is stolen he trys whatever he can to get it back. The action and storyline in this are good. The acting is above par for this b-movie Jeff Fahey is a great bad guy.So check this film out if you like action films in the 80's vein.

Not QUITE as good as the first and second...

This is a good film, not quite as good as the first or second film, but very enjoyable.

I really think there should be more Darkman films, and that Arnold Vosloo should reprise his role as Westlake.
