May His God Go With Him
I rented this a matter of days before the death of Dave.
If you've seen him before and and are a fan then rent it. He's still got it. If you've never seen him before then rent it. You don't know what you're missing. Incredible perception and irreverance.

A wonderful entertainer to the last !!
I had seen Dave Allen on the TV many years ago, but these shows have not been made available (apparently Dave blocked the release of his materials) and with fond memories I ordered this DVD. Although a bit older, the charm and comic ability is still there. This show is just his stand-up (yes, the stool is there, but not used) and allows us to see the man at his comic best as he reflects on his own life and getting old. No sketches, unfortunately, but brilliant otherwise. Dave has sadly now died (coincidentally on the day the DVD arrived) and this is a great tribute to his comic genius. Maybe now some of his old shows will be released on DVD.
