A breath of fresh 'alternative' Irish comedy

Absolutely fantastic DVD and too short, a breath of fresh air. This is not dated material as others suggest and stands up good and strong. My wife, who never warms to alternative comedy, sat down and laughed along with me at the silliness and skill of the sketches. We are both in our 40's and there is much here that reminded me of Dick Emery meets the Two Ronnies. As a kid growing up in the 70's it was a real treat to stay up and watch Dave if mum allowed as he edged towards the naughtier adult side of life which I didn't understand but it sounded funny. His presentation skills draws you into the monolgue and it is a shame there are few 'Ghost Stories' that he is remembered for here on the DVD.

Rent this, it is not vulgar, it is is clever, witty, inteligent comdey and the world is a sadder place without true stars like Mr Allen being no longer with us.
