Good Bu t Dated

I loved Dave Allen as a Kid , But 70's Humour hasnt really aged well. Theres too much of Daves early stuff, when his later stuff was much funnier. The early Dave Allen shows were really just jokes which may have been original at the time but now seem dated. I wish the DVD had more of his later work as this was much more observational about tha absurdities of life - All in all a missed oppurtunity and not paticulary well presented by the Beeb . They surely had so much more funnier stuff in the vault than whats on this DVD. Think I`ll watch Dave Allen On Life which looks a better bet

well worth a look i promise you

I saw this comedian in the early seventies and he had me roaring around the floor with his zany and humerous stories on roman cathicolisms sex and death . watching this brought it all back to me ? I really enjoyed watching some of his best bits again. He was one of the first in alternative humour. A real genius of this kind of comedy storytelling .

Very Very Funny Man

Yep, as usual he doesn't disappoint! He's just a very very funny man! We love him!

well worth a look i promise you

Sorely missed friend

This is a nice complication of sketches from over the years - in Dave Allen's typical style, brings back fond memories.

Good ...

Dave Allen is good and I really enjoyed watching this.....The kids weren't impressed...but what do they know,with some of the comedy that's on now?

golden comedy

great comedian in the days before all this politically nonsense.not all of his best sketches,but good none the less.
