David Starkey has done a fine job in this sudy of the origins of the monachy in Britain .
Covering a period from the fall of the Roman rule to Henry VI, Starkey keeps the story moving at quite a pace but still manages to communicate in his almost school masterly manner, the details of how our monachy evolved.
Although this is not a multi million pound production the series has some interesting re-enactments which give life to Starkey's narrative.
Overall a good, entertaining and educational prodution.
