One of the best films I've seen in ages
By a customer from Newcastle, UK , 10 Oct 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
This film was so absorbing, I was gripped by it from start to finish. It was beautifully shot, even the subtitles were done really well. Occasionally the subtitle words changed colour and vibrated and dripped blood depending on what was happening on-screen and they integrated really well with the movie, it wasn't like they had just been slapped on there with no thought. The storyline wasn't exactly the same as the book, but I guess they had to adapt it this way to make it into a good movie. All of the actors were excellent, the cast was the same as the first movie but this time they seemed much more into their characters. I'll be buying this on dvd when it's released, there were so many cool little touches in the movie that I'm bound to have missed some of them.- Was this review helpful to you?

(182)Confusing or what?
By a customer , 01 Oct 2012It almost seems unfair to give this such a low rating but I didn't understand it all!
Firstly I hadn't paid enough attention when ordering it as it had sub-titles. This generally isn't a problem for me but I was surprised by it. Secondly and most importantly I would recommend you see Night Watch first. I had absolutely no idea what the film was all about and in fact switched it off after about 20 mins. I felt as though I was on another planet!
I was disappointed but I suppose I should pay more attention to the info. given in the first place!- Was this review helpful to you?

Confusing mess!
By Rokeyblokey (52 reviews) from Nottingham , 24 Nov 2011I saw Night Watch a couple of years ago and just didn't get round to watching this. I must say, the whole thing was a bit of a mess unfortunately! The story was all over the place, losing all sense of narrative. Conversation came and went making no sense, the whole thing was awfully hard work.
To be honest, the only thing that made sense was the end!
Even if you enjoyed Night watch I'm not what you will make of this...- Was this review helpful to you?

books are better
By VDT (10 reviews) , 14 Jul 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
On its own, the film is good with fantastic effects and good acting. But don't watch this if you have read the books, you will be disappointed - there is limited correlation between the film and the story which gets quite annoying at times.- Was this review helpful to you?
