    Warning: This is not a war film

    About 5% of this film has combat scenes in it. It's mostly about how badly the French dealt with their African and North African soldiers in WW2.

    great war film

    this film is great.
    
    it is not only a great war film. it is also very informative as well of the different type of people that fought in WWII

    Heroism is not a condition of race or creed

    Muslim/French collision

    Well worth watching..... the war and social context is an interesting historical aspect. Strong performances, good storyline and very enjoyable.
