...adequate?
More 'Braindead' than 'Evil Dead', I'd say. The acting is quite clunky which can distract sometimes, but the gore and death scenes are very enjoyable, and the hillbilly narrator is a nice touch.
To be honest, the film never lived up to the phenomenal opening titles for me. Call me harsh, but they deserved to open a better movie than this.

Zombies, gore and line dancing!
I love David Carradine so knew if he was in it the film wouldn't be so bad. I wasn't wrong, it was fantabulosa! Who can fault line dancing zombies, a singing narrator and bucket loads of blood? Just leave your brain at the door and settle back to a night of fun and frolics.
