    [Highly rated reviewer]

Interesting take on the usual 'haunted house' setting and a good slow building story with some truly scary moments along the way. Far superior to most of your low-budget (or big-budget!) horror of late and well worth checking out for the strong cast & directing.

half star as most of time kept sticking. some scary bits. Most of movie dark, night time, no lights )(as 1863) Bit like cheap Hammer Horror set in civil war plantation.

  • Great Horror Film

Really enjoyed this. Felt like a fresh take on classic American horror themes, like a good HP Lovecraft or Steven King story. Some genuine scares in there and very very creepy. One of those occasional straight to video gems.

  • slow and strange

This was a strange film, it took a while to get going, but never really takes off. Every time it got going it just slows down again. The ending was utter crap, and made me wish i hadn't wasted my time sticking with it.
