    A potentially interesting western, obviously influenced by Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy and starring TV hunk Clint Walker as a hired gun readjusting to life after 18 years in jail. Unemployable and harassed by former enemies, Walker gets a job in a Wild West show owned by kindly impresario Vincent Price. It's only now that the real plot emerges — Price has hired Walker to replace another crack shot who proceeds to turn psychotically resentful. There're bags of potential here for an off-kilter drama, but Walker has all the charisma of a sack of concrete.

    Well worth a look

    After the first insane five minute montage, 'Dead or Alive' settles into quite a straight yakuza thriller, albeit a pretty violent one. There's also a few scenes which may offend, certainly don't watch it with your granny.. The film builds to a fantastic climax. You think 'Audition' had a mental finish?

    If you're into asian films you've probably seen this. If you're interested in getting into them, definately give this a whirl, it's top.

    a really twisted and wiered flick but still in my mind it a pukka flick.
