Not brilliant but still good, crazy stuff. It's pretty low budget and very Japanese so don't watch it if you have a low attention span. There's a strange mix of the serious, abhorent aspects of the Yakuza underworld and massively over-the-top spoof action scenes. Director Miike's dark sense of humour is clearly evident as is his knack for extremely creative and ultra-violent action - early on we see a man who has been stuffing himself with noodles, get shot in the back with a shotgun causing the fresh contents of his stomach to fly towards us and splat on the camera lens. Right then, you should know whether you're going to enjoy the film. I did.
