This is maybe not one for the zombie purists as the dead guys here are a little bit too mobile and coordinated to fall in to the traditional shuffling and moaning category.
However, for those of us who are tolerant of the wide diversity in the world of the undead, this movie has a lot to offer.
Some good gore, some good tension and some comedy moments that had me laughing out loud are all played out by likeable characters who I was fully rooting for by the end.
The influence of films like Brain Dead and Evil Dead are clear and there are plenty of nods and in jokes throughout to all kinds of movies.
Sure, I could pick a few holes in the plot but I really don't want to. I am happy to take this one for exactly what it is; Nazi zombies, in the snow, tearing peoples heads in half.
Genius!
