Based on a novel by Ted Schwarz, this TV movie thriller deals with an increasingly familiar phenomenon: a family member makes a media plea on behalf of a crime victim, only to become the prime suspect in the investigation. Here the evidence begins stacking up against Tony Danza after he vows to apprehend his daughter's killer. Yet it's Pamela Reed who turns in the strongest performance as the wife caught between love for her husband and a desire to know the truth. Director Bill L Norton allows the clues to seep into the speculation with some skill, but the melodramatic tone is pretty unrelenting.
