Directed by Sondra Locke (proving there's life after Clint Eastwood), this TV movie is based on a true story in which landscape gardener Richard Thomas (still best known as John Boy Walton) is charged with poisoning his wife Glynnis O'Connor by lacing her vitamin pills with arsenic. However, all is not as it seems and we are treated to one of those courtroom dramas where a watertight case proves to have more holes in it than a Gruyère cheese. It's hardly a breath bater, but Locke knows when to press the suspense button and there's a solid performance by the under-rated Tess Harper as the assistant DA.

Just an average true crimes film

Although fairly well made this film lacked any pace. In fact you could be forgiven for falling asleep!! The acting was up to par, but the director should go back to college.
