Death Note Vol.5

This probably wont be the longest review in the world but its my 1st :)
This is fantastic DVD. Like all the death note episodes they have positives and negatives compared to the books. Positives; you get dramatic music to back up the story line and if your not shore how to pronounce something they say it for you :) e.g. Shinigami. Negatives; they over quicker than the books (some may think that a positive but i dont personally) and they dont always follow the books exactly.
As for this DVD's content.
In this volume you see the final showdown between L and Light and new character are interdruced and old ones exectuted.
Dont want to give too much alway at the risk of spoiling it. However, if you've liked the over DVDs you'll like this one.
Also note, whereas the previous volumes have been 2disks this one is only 1.- Was this review helpful to you?

(3)Still great, aside from the wasted time.
By H0LLIE (198 reviews) from UK , 21 Jul 2010Aside from an incredibly anoying musical number from Misa, and half an episode wasted on completely pointless flash backs, this continues to be a fantastic series.
The death of *((shouldn't say who))* didn't really have the same dignity as in the books and seemed rather over done, I felt this spoiled it a little for me. The introduction of Mellow and Near adds a nice new change of pace and many more twists.
Unfortunately this volume has only 4 episodes as opposed to the usual 8, so I'm sure I won't be alone in feeling a little cheated on run time. But that does leave just 9 episodes to go now.
Highly recommended but read the books as well.- Was this review helpful to you?
