The killing sprees have become routine, and there's nothing else of interest in this boring sequel to a sequel.
Death wish 3 was released in 1985,canon films bought the rights to the series and decided to make a several more sequels with an already established character who could blow stuff up!!..remember this was made in the mid 80's when swarzenegger and stallone were at their peak and action films dominated the charts, michael winner and canon films obviusly saw a chance to move the series in a more standard action orientated direction, gone is the turmoil and pain of a man struggling with his family being murderd, this time charlie helps an old war buddy who is being harrassed by street thugs and is eventually murdered. This isnt as good as part 1 and 2 but holds its own against some other films of the era, bronson even in his 60's when he made this was as enigmatic as ever. The street gang though are a bit too cartoony to be taken completely seriously!,worth a look and check out the slightly superior death wish 4 which was an improvement on part 3.
