A chilling film that essentially feels like a play adapted to the screen. It's also a bit of a mystery with the central enigma (whether her neighbor really is was torturer in his past life life) holding true right to the end.
For the first time the real disturbing quality of this film is in the words and the images it creates. You really feel for Sigourney Weaver's character even though she is an emotionally scared fruit-loop.
