This is a long sweet tale of well meaning hero with over-bearing mother overcomes funny mis-haps. OK the mis-haps are quite violent. Sam is at his slim, sweet self with floppy hair and beguiling manner, you really feel for him. Typical realistic aussie humour with a good twist at the end. Aw bless!

This is a genuinely funny film, but not overdone. Although a totally different film plotwise, The warm gentle comedy is reminiscent of Withnail & I and praise doesnt get much higher than that.

Off the wall Melbourne based film. Various twists along the way and unlikely you will have seen a film quite like this one.Sam Neill is usually a reliable indicator of a good film and this is no exception
