A superb 20th century drama which tackles the benign futility of the capitalist process and the little men it destroys. Dustin Hoffman gives 120% in the role of Willy Loman, and it shows a bit too much, in that the rest of the cast play it much more real, and for me Kate Reid stands out as the poor oppressed wife of Loman. Obviously a theatrical film, and the filming of the family when they were young didn't quite work out. Great play though. Good to see Arthur Miller in the accompanying film too - although he didn't seem altogether happy at times with the way the filming was going.
