Nice One Ewan
I'm not going to spoil this for you, but its set in several capital city's and the cinematography is first class.
Ewan's day is like most, work at nine home when the jobs done. But one day he has a spliff with his really nice boss, and things go from wired to eerie quick.
Before he knows it hes got his boss's phone by mistake and is in with the in crowd. He falls for a woman he meets by answering his boss's phone (who's in a swingers club like all the woman are in this film). Hes happy and about to accept his new found happiness when suddenly, yes you guessed it, she dies.( -well actually disappears)
In come the police and your attention turns to the nice boss, who reached out to Ewan to help improve his life or did he?
Be ready for some serious twists.
This is Ewan doing some fine method acting as we are drawn into a world of seedy underground expensive sex clubs. Disappearances, greed and exploitation.
All portrait with though.
A top class movie, well done to all the cast and crew.

Effective
Fairly effective set-up movie - Ewan Mcgregor plays Jonathon Macquarry a shy,mild mannered accountant who audits the books for senior law firms in New York.
He doesn't get out much and is befriended by slick lawyer Wyatt Bose who introduces him to whole new world and by deliberatly swapping cell phones indoctranates him into The List.
This a high powered sex club of the New York elite who meet in hotel rooms for anonymous sex and Macquarry discovers a taste for this and is soon having sleeping with a whole host of women including Natasha Hestridge and Charlotte Rampling.
Of course Bose has only done this to set him up and the bait on the hook is Michelle Williams - he falls in love with her and this is Bose's moment to pounce.......
Won't spoil it by revealing any more but it all works out quite cleverly and all the leads are good - McGregor plays Mcquarry as the wallflower out of his depth but with hidden resources and Jackman snarls his way through as the villian - Williams isn't given much to do apart from look cute (which she is very good at) and Dante Spinotti's photography lights the New York nocturnal skyline as poetry.
Its nothing you havn't see before but overall well worth a watch. -
