    Nice One Ewan

I'm not going to spoil this for you, but its set in several capital city's and the cinematography is first class.

Ewan's day is like most, work at nine home when the jobs done. But one day he has a spliff with his really nice boss, and things go from wired to eerie quick.

Before he knows it hes got his boss's phone by mistake and is in with the in crowd. He falls for a woman he meets by answering his boss's phone (who's in a swingers club like all the woman are in this film). Hes happy and about to accept his new found happiness when suddenly, yes you guessed it, she dies.( -well actually disappears)

In come the police and your attention turns to the nice boss, who reached out to Ewan to help improve his life or did he?

Be ready for some serious twists.

This is Ewan doing some fine method acting as we are drawn into a world of seedy underground expensive sex clubs. Disappearances, greed and exploitation.

    All portrait with though.

A top class movie, well done to all the cast and crew.

    yawn, yawn, yawn

This gets my rating as being the worst film I have ever seen.

How so many top rate actors ended up in this? I suppose in a way they saved it a little. The plot is thin, the suspense non existent and the end laughable.

    Never again!!!

    Better than expected

You kind-of know what's coming up but still very enjoyable and the ending has a little surprise for you..

The good acting makes this worth the while and is a good film to watch when nothing too complicated is required.

    Deception

I was really looking forward to this film as Ewan MacGregor and Hugh Jackman have been in some of my favourite films of late. The script for this film as way short of the mark though. I enjoy a good thriller with twists and turns along the way but these were far too obvious for my liking.

The actors all do a good job of what they are offered and it was great to see Charlotte Rampling in amongst it. The filming is also top notch and the cityscapes make good cinema so it’s a real shame it was such a poor story.

I’m going to sit on the fence with this one as the acting and cinematography are very good but the script is a big let down. I imagine some will love it whilst others loath it!

    The Wife’s view – disappointing!

    Predictable

Dull and predictable. Thought it would be a good films with well known actors in it, but I was wrong, they were just average. Wouldn't recommend!

    Deceptive

Very cripping film. If you love Hugh Jackman though you may not like him beiing a villan! Was hard to bare that he was the baddie! But good acting and a good storyline, although a little tell tale of waht was gonna happen but clever too. Defo worth a watch!

    Predictable, middle of the road

Drawn to this film by the stars Ewan McGregor and Hugh Jackman, my expectations were not too high and not too low and on this it delivered. The plot revolves around Ewan's introverted and sheltered accountant character who does not really exist to others - he goes through his life without anyone really paying much attention to him and vice versa. He then meets a charismatic lawyer played by Hugh. This character immediately appears to be more of an illusion than a real person, you know straight away that he is not what he appears to be. The lawyer introduces the accountant to a sexual liaison club for upper class socialites not wanting commitments or attachments. The film is then intended to be one of twists, thrills and suspense but it is not. Every single 'twist' is highly predictable and the film fails to create the film noir sense of tension you believe it to be striving for.

Being a fan of these two main actors, some of the acting felt a little forced and unrealistic at points. This could possibly be attributed to the script perhaps? Some of the cinematography is actually really pleasing to the eye, but perhaps the degree to which I noticed it is representative of the lack of absorption within the plot!

If you're the sort of person who got to the end of Sixth Sense and needed it explained that Bruce Willis was actually dead then perhaps you will find this to be a thriller. For everyone else, it is predictable and pointless with a waste of a very good cast. Reminding me a little of the wasted opportunity that was Perfect Stranger.

    Yawn.....

Oh dear. I was hoping for so much, and didn't even get delectable ewan nude!

Seriously, though. This has such a good plot, and at least 3 good actors, but it fails on all levels. I kept hoping for more, even after a big yawn through the sexy first quarter. It becomes interesting, but then just dissolves into nothingness.

Really, don't watch it. You will be disappointed!

Hitchcock could have done it so much better.
