great concert!

proof that you don't need Ritchie to have a good Deep Purple concert! dunno who the guitarist is here but he's very good and the band rip thru some great Purple classics with the band on top form.. seems like Purple will play on forever! excellent concert!- Was this review helpful to you?

DP - STILL HIGHWAY STARS!
By a customer from Falkirk , 05 Jul 2005Aaah......Steve Morse, wot a talent (in more ways than 1) he makes guitar playing look so damn easy! Gillan showing off his skills on harmonica on 'Lazy' with occasional bongo and tamborine shaking thrown in & his voice on fine form, Lord on keys, Glover and Paice on rhythmn. The band were obviously relaxed & having a lot of fun & the rapport between Gillan and Morse on angry wives left at home when they're out for a late night drink with the lads near the end of the show was priceless! They finished up the gig with 'Hush' which left young pretenders Kula Shaker's version in the shade. Wot a treat.
