The Critics Were Wrong
By Jamie Sherlock from Corsham, WILTSHIRE, England , 10 May 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
Slated by the critics, for a change. Its back to B-Movie gold, with this quality non stop creature feature. Good effects, fairly witty script and a buckett load of action.
Get your mates round have a few beers and enjoy.- Was this review helpful to you?

(33)A briskly paced, shlocky fun B-movie with some nice touches
By Hydraface (1 review) , 03 Mar 2013Shamelessly styled as a classic B-Movie, the simple plot sees a team of gung-ho mercenaries picked off one by one as they try to pull off a cruise ship heist and find themselves instead fighting to survive against a monsterous threat. It's a clear cut above other movies of it's like by having a fun monster that's realised with some solid special effects. The multi-national cast is more interesting and better played than expected in similar movies, with some decent actors like Jason Flemying and Djimon Hounson keeping the attention.
The plot's no great shakes, but it's plays out well with no boring bits and plenty of action, but it remains more than just a string of set-pieces.
The sprightly pace, sense of fun, and well-shot action make this a very watchable movie that sails close to the shlocky enjoyableness of Tremors- Was this review helpful to you?

Waste of the B movie brand
By Platospupil (195 reviews) , 15 Mar 2012Yes this is a B movie and yes they are doing it for laughs but this is not funny, witty or clever. It is just a very, very poor B movie. Worse, it is self-knowingly poor. The actors are in on the internal joke but, this film mocks the audience foolish enough to pay good money to go see it. Not worth further reviewing.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not a bad monster movie
By Sammy1973 (277 reviews) from King's Lynn , 13 Dec 2011Not a bad B-Movie. I do love a good 'out at sea with monsters' movie and this doesn't dissappoint. It's eeiry, creepy and tense. Having said that it is a bit up and down - some parts are really good whereas others (such as the special effects) are a bit poor.
I would say if you're a sci-fi addict and you havent seen this film then it's worth a watch.- Was this review helpful to you?

OK action film
By a customer from Farnborough , 02 May 2011Bad acting, gung ho baddies and a whining good guy that you actually want to get eaten by the creatures.
The same goes for the creepy bad guy.
Basically an ok film with a lot wrong with it but with lots of action.
Debateable whether I would recommend this one or not- Was this review helpful to you?
