(6)Ho Hum
By JohnFair (44 reviews) from Stockport , 26 Nov 2009The main thing that surprised me about this was how old it felt - granted it's made in the 80s but the feel is very definitely 70s.
The actual plot is actually quite good. As far as it goes. Our Theology Student feels the he needs a break from his studies to confirm that he's on the true path so he visits his old pal in NYC where he learns about the steamier side of the Big Apple.
Although rated an 18, the sex and violence aren't really that excessive and the plotline does drag a bit eventually. Though I do admit that the final monster scenes were very impressive especially for something that was shot on a relatively low budget.
Ultimately, the film is a drag and I watched by flicking forward through quite a bit of the middle bit without any apparent bad efect.- Was this review helpful to you?

Simply Shocking
By Bennett (2 reviews) from Edinburgh , 14 Apr 2008If there was ever a cultural revolution and mass DVD burning swept the globe, the first pyre would be lit by a copy of this nonsense.- Was this review helpful to you?

Wacky Horror
By blaxion (42 reviews) from london , 11 Mar 2006Abit of comedy and bit of suave and a bit of horror - not gorey though no exocist spoofing without being Scary Movie.
I think it is watchable but others might feel it falls into to many genres.- Was this review helpful to you?

Hilarious film which ...
By Eva#1 from SANDERSTEAD , 19 Aug 2004Hilarious film which had a decidedly 70's feel about it. Good to see a very young Samuel L. Jackson making an appearance. Liked the ending. Clothes and wigs were a good laugh too.- Was this review helpful to you?
