Demon Picture
By a customer from Essex, England , 06 Jan 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
This is definately worth a rental for Leung Kar Yan & Hwang yang lee fans. Unfortunately the picture is absolutely terrible and the English Subtitles cannot be seen fully at the bottom of the screen. I would of given this 4 stars but the ludicrous magic demon powers get in the way of this becoming a classic Kung Fu film, because what action there is, is good. This is one to rent but not buy because of the picture quality. Also listen out for the music. Im sure they have stolen elements of the music from Superman 2 & Moonraker. Apart from the suddenly stupid death of the bad guy at the end and the magic powers sections, enjoy the Kung Fu.- Was this review helpful to you?

(6)Rare Surreal Action
By RMcD (41 reviews) from London , 19 Mar 2012Some incredible action is showcased in this bizarre & rare film featuring late night favourites, Leung Kar Yan (Beardy) & Hwang Jan Lee (Silver fox).
As far as I know there as never been a high quality print of this film available to the public anywhere in the world.
The print quality is not good (scratches, specks, some ruff cuts, colour discrepancies) & never has been, but IT IS WATCHABLE, widescreen & very enjoyable. The subtitles are dire & illegible sometimes but this was how they used to be & it is not financially viable to re-sub these 'collectors' titles. You should really be watching for the fights anyway (lol)...
Viewers have been rather spoilt with their expectations of print quality with DVD & forget that a lot of films are 'lost' or have deteriorated beyond restoration.
It is with great respect & gratitude to Vengeance Video/ Rarescope that we can finally see this sought after (among genuine lovers of martial art action!) kung fu gem. The company that released this is run by dedicated, old skool connoisseurs of the genre and over many years they have kept these obscure films alive as well as being instrumental in the UK promotion & success of Jackie Chan, Chow yun Fat, Donnie Yen & Samo Hung when they operated as Eastern Heroes.- Was this review helpful to you?

Demon Strike
By FranLord from Hampshire , 24 May 2005This film is the pits.
The print is a very poor quality, and the English subtitles are lopped off the bottom of the screen.
Please do not get this film.- Was this review helpful to you?

Hwang Jang Lee is wasted on this film
By a customer from england , 14 May 2005watchable film, although subtitles were awful and it was a lame ending. Bit too much of the magic power effects that spoil this from being a really good film- Was this review helpful to you?

Don't do it!
By RevEv from Nottingham , 01 Feb 2005Just say no!
Please listen to me, you couldn't go further wrong than to hire this. You will end up wasting not one and a half hours of your llife, but just five minutes if you hire that. As that's all you will be able to watch.- Was this review helpful to you?
