Most helpful review Detective Dee - Mystery Of The Phantom Flame

  • Great set design, shame about the ropey CGI

    Rated - 3.5 stars

    [Highly rated reviewer]

The familiar spicy blend of pseudo chinese history and fantasy with a murder mystery thrown in, add some lite martial arts, human combustion, superb set designs along with some ropey CGI (esp ships on the sea and the talking Deer) and you have a fine alternative to Indiana type movies of the west....

This China's Film is very good but I Love film If you can stand asian actors flying through the air with swords that make feel good most of the time this is all about chinese are very good actors It just a good drama and with sub titles do not me put off at all. Any way I Love the a lot of china's Flilm and so on Burning questions in this blend of historical as a drama. Have seen this film three times over and I any film like this as all time !

  • TALKING DEER?

Technically accomplished but the plot was all over the place. Worth a watch if you are a fan of Asian cinema but casual fans should stay away....

Talking animals, need I say more?

But a 20 word limit means I have too.

It is not a good film and would not recommend it

Technically very good, but not for me. If you like asian actors flying through the air with swords etc most of the time then this is for you. Also in chinese and with sub titles is a put off.
