superb..................

this series is superb. this dvd has the complete episodes from the second series of 'Detectives'. Detective Constables Bob Louis and David Briggs, demonstrate the art of being inefficient, and totally unreliable policemen.

The episodes are: Collared, Witness, Never Without Protection, Dutch Cops, Sparring Partners and Rear Window.

In collared, Briggs & Louie are collared by local gangsters who try to make them grass, The Super saves the day for them.

In Witness, a silent order monk is a witness to a gangland killing, and must be kepted under constant police protection. Briggs & Louie are sent to his monastery to keep a watch on him. Cotham however works out that his superior may be in on it.

In Never Without Protection, Briggs & Louie are given guns to help them, with a tough case they are involved with. They spend more time playing with the guns like kids. When Bob nearly shoots Dave in the head, he gets them taken away again.

In Dutch Cops, Briggs & Louie are in Hull inspecting Lorries outbound to Holland. They get into a truck to inspect the contents, and they accidentally lock themselves in the vehicle, and don't get out until they arrive in, what they assume is somewhere in Italy, but is really Amsterdam, which happens to also be where Cotham, is trying to find some Diamond smugglers.

In Sparring Partners, Briggs & Louie have to investigate a dope-dealing boxing trainer.

In Rear Window, after a disasterous encounter with a police dog, Bob ends up wheelchair bound with his leg in plaster. He witness's a neighbour in the flat opposite, murdering his wife, Should he call the police or get Briggs to go over and have a look?

Well worth watching. It is very funny.
