Not Very Good
By LeoM (19 reviews) from London , 22 Aug 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
The animation is dissapointing (the ears on all the characters look ridiculous) and the plot is uninspiring and convoluted. The Artificial City 5 is quite a cool idea and some of the futuristic mod-cons are interesting but these are the only good things about Orgun. Alot of this film made me cringe. Evangelion is much better.- Was this review helpful to you?

(7)Ultimate Definition of 50/50
By Dark7777 (16 reviews) from Ayr , 09 Mar 2012Without a doubt the most bitter-sweet anime i have ever seen.
And the ultimate definition of 50/50
Animation was awesome,
The story was a cool concept in my opinion despite having to watch a few times
This form of Neo-mega-tech was also very nice to view.
On to the battle scenes, also very good viewing and all the characters seem to gel together with a real puurpose for being there
However
The frequent life defining moments for the protagonist simply destroy all that this anime does right. And it FXXXS up in spectacular style
Personally i will wait, persevere, suffer and out right hold on to the somtimes horribly bitter end of any movie. (Twilight)
This anime is somthing that you will find yourself switching off, and you will invent (if you have to) some reason for not switching it back on again.
No anime should do this to any sentient life form of any description
As an anime fan i wont buy this.
A fan of futuristic Neo-Tech will watch, but will find another outlet
An out-right shame to be honest- Was this review helpful to you?

Please let this tripe end!...
By ian3430 (12 reviews) from winchester , 28 Nov 2009I was bitterlydissapointed with this supposedly groundbreaking amine. The animation (for the time) is quite impressive and 'arty' but could have done without the strobe going every time a computer screen or monitor is shown!?! not suitable for anyone suffering from migraines/epilepsy thats for sure!
The film itself is painfully, agonisingly dull and very slow to progress. The awful grinding keyboard demo that constitutes music fires up every time some action is about to start.. You soon get desensitised to it and give up expecting it to get any better! Was this episodes converted into a film? No one could ever sit through the whole thing in one go, must be over 2 and a half hours, which is surprising due to the complete lack of plot and characters involved! I won't go into the details about the story, there are few.
Hardcore fans and manga historians only. Everyone else give this an extremely wide berth!- Was this review helpful to you?

Good beginner anime
By UK from London , 10 Dec 2006Orgun is a good mecha anime but pales in comparison to others of this genre such as Robotech in respect of character development and story, which feels a bit makeshift and overblown; I especially found the cheesy ending a let-down. Also the running time makes it difficult to watch in one go without losing interest. However, it has good fight scenes and good animation for its time. Also some interesting futuristic ideas. Overall, Orgun is a good beginner anime but can disappoint enthusiasts.- Was this review helpful to you?

Good animation
By Si Aust from England , 30 Apr 2005Cool anime, good animation for the year it was released. Only thing that let it down badly was the English voice acting. The humour is never the same, and overall it was genrally poor.
Story seemed pretty good, nothing that new. Enjoy this film for the action and animation and you'll be ok :)- Was this review helpful to you?
