High school and the 1970s have been the hot topics of fin de siècle Hollywood. In Detroit Rock City they meet head on, with a bit of road movie and country-mouse comedy thrown in for good measure. With only the soundtrack to nail down the period, there's a universality about the adventures of four lads bunking off to Motown for a rock concert. this is a monumental life changing film since viewing this i have left my wife and children to persue a KISS tribute band. well not quite but it was excelent funny and a must see for all. 15+
I remember watching this movie a few years ago on a movie channel on sky, i loved it but couldnt remember what it was called for ages until i spotted it on here. obviously i rented it and its even better than i remembered it, a real rock and roll movie and so funny. a must watch!
