Rob Zombie is a genious

What a master piece, anyone who enjoyed the first one, this sequel is even better. Taking the set out of the house this time kept the plot and characters on the move and prevented boredom setting in.

The use of actors from other famous horror movies is always a good idea and a salute to Mr Zombie's love of the genre and those of us geekish enough to spot his praise of other films. The three main characters will repulse you in ways that you never thought possible and although gore is a plenty in this film so are the funny moments and Mr Zombie definitely knows when and how to mix the two to ensure neither carries on too long.

The Sheriff's character a redneck slaying, god fearing vigilante is so cool that you find yourself rooting for him to catch the bad guys and dish up his own version of deep south justice from the minute he appears on screen. The first ten minutes of the film provide the best shoot out scenes I have seen in a long time and reminded me of the old spaghetti westerns, maybe another genre favourite of Mr Zombie.

Think 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' (the orignial) meets 'Thelma and Louise' and you wont go far wrong.

I loved it, loved it, loved it, let's hope he continues to indulge his passion for film making in this fashion long into the future.

Bad is too good a word.

Hmm. Several points here - first, it's awful. This is because: the glorification of torture and potential rape is never a good thing. where Texas Chainsaw wins is that it is not sexual - everyone dies, boy or girl. Here, Rob Zombie casts women simply to get their kit off, be sexually molested and then butchered. Second, its awful. Rob Zombie simply cannot write a script or direct a film. I know this because I watched this dire excuse for a 'slasher film' for 20 mins before the realisation hit that it wasn't going to improve. Third, it's awful. I have to wonder about why this film was made. I think that Rob Zombie hates women and would love to rape and kill them, but can't because the police don't like that sort of thing (hence he casts police people as stupid violent sadists). Because of a little think called 'The Law' he does it with a camera instead, portraying as many naked women as possible in every scene for his own personal titillation.

It isn't sexy watching a woman have a gun thrust into her underwear, Mr Zombie. Nor is it big, or clever. It is simply rubbish, as is your skill behind a camera. Has anyone ever shown this guy what directing means? Clearly not.

There's my rant over and done with. If you like seeing women treated like meat, then watch this by all means, and think about how you could one day, oh, wondrous day!, get a life all of your own.
