So Mr Shylalalalalman...
This film is much like your others... A twisty turny thriller where no one is what they seem... Except unlike the others this one is a bit poo!
The exposition is clumsy and your characters are too flawed within minutes of everyone getting in the lift (yes it's about a lift, see the cover) I couldn't give a monkeys if any of them made it out...
It's better than the nonsese about the mermaid, but nothing like the sixth sense...- Was this review helpful to you?

(148)Expertly Devilish
By Spedro (32 reviews) , 09 Apr 2013Like most of M. Night's films Devil does exactly what he is trying to acieve... no silly sub plots, no superfluous love interests. Very clean and to the point with great progression of the story. The jumps are expertly placed and the conclusion presented in his usual satisfying yet semi-resolved state.- Was this review helpful to you?

Hell in an elevator
By Cashplays (47 reviews) , 04 Apr 2013Wow what a great little film! Was not expecting such a tight and serious melodrama with good acting, good script, good score and some really creepy moments. Can't say too much in the way of story for fear of spoiling but if you think more psychological horror thriller rather than straight supernatural horror you will not be disappointed. It falls short of being a truly great film by a fair way but what it lacks in greatness it makes up for in atmosphere, character and story It bears all of Mr Night Shyamalan's hallmarks but in someone else's very capable hands and is a genuinely good film, there is nothing bad here.- Was this review helpful to you?

Proof of what I suspect is true.
By Andy01 (3 reviews) , 28 Mar 2013I would take this film as further proof that Gods and Devils only really work in fiction. There is no room for them in believable works that try to take themselves seriously. The soundtrack was the most moving thing about the film. That is the most I can think of to commend this film.- Was this review helpful to you?

Mind the doors
By WillieWacka (6 reviews) , 26 Mar 2013Definitely one to watch with a few beers at the ready. Excellent storyline with a few twists, if you think passing wind in the lift is gross, don't watch this.- Was this review helpful to you?
