I didn't know they still made them like this...
By Iain Gethin from Cardiff, UK , 06 Apr 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
Having never watched any Bollywood films before I thought that Dhoom:2 would be the perfect starter film considering it's 'global' success. I was surprised to see that the film utilises staples of the 80s American action cinema such as outrageously unbelievable stunts, bad guys who couldn't shoot fish in a barrel and ultra-cheesy dialouge. In addition to this I was also surprised to see that the male charachters were, by western ideals, highly feminised wearing loads of make-up and doing what western audience would consider to be homo-erotic posturing and dancing in most of the scenes.
The story itself is about a thief called Mr. A and two cops who are trying to catch him. This is about as detailed and as complex as the story gets as action set-pieces, bouts of dancing and slow-motion camerawork take up the majority of the films running time.
I didn't think this was an awful film, I just think that for western audiences Dhoom:2 is too far removed from what we expect from a modern-day action film.- Was this review helpful to you?

Utter Rubbish!
By a customer , 06 Jun 2012Seriously!!! I enjoy a good cast, with good acting, with a good story line however, this movie made me squirm all the way through! What exactly was the plot? Why on earth did these actors try to be something they're clearly not! How are you able to jump off a cliff in a complete 90 degree angle and have someone else jump on you with the utmost precision? Totally ridiculous? ps...all the good scenes where the ones that played on the menu setup. Watch that and then you'd enjoy the movie. Don't waste your time with the rest of it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Over acted scenes
By Shaam (4 reviews) , 11 Aug 2011There are loads of over acted scenes. Action parts looked so fake. I liked the story though, it worth a watch just for the story line. The movie could have been so much better.- Was this review helpful to you?

Warming and a bit of fun
By a customer , 06 Aug 2011We all know the rather prescriptive flavour of such Bollywood films.... pretty boys and girls actors, dramatic scenary, colourful dancing and singing scenes and a base plot about baddies Vs goodies.
But I liked it. The leading ladies looked terrific and cool. The baddie and good cop were believable and the story was exciting and kinda nice
Even the playful loser made me laugh
I watched the film for a 2 hour chill-out and for that purpose it was great.....- Was this review helpful to you?
