A limp narrative is bolstered by a lavish and stylized production design, using comic-book primary colours, and by the careful re-creation of the bizarre appearance of the gangsters from the original newspaper strip-cartoon.

Beatty wins battle over rights to Dick Tracy franchise

Hollywood veteran Warren Beatty has maintained the rights to the Dick Tracy screen franchise after winning a summary judgement in his longrunning legal dispute.
