[Highly rated reviewer]Based on most reviews I was expecting this to be a miserable experience (I have a Cineworld pass, so I'm quite happy to try out stuff that might not always cut it) but to my surprise I did laugh out loud on a couple of occasions... and made it through to the end. If you find Grant or Parker irksome this film won't change your mind - in fact their characters teeter on loathesome and/or punchable on numerous occasions. I had very low expectations but by the end i felt it would have been churlish to actively hate a lightweight, harmless film like this one.

Did you hear about Hugh Grant being funny?By Pinheaddude (134 reviews) from Maidenhead , 09 Oct 2013Well he was but this is not that film, an awful script and lack of any funny situations make this a mess. Not helped that he is saddled with Sarah Jessica Parker, possibly one of the most annoying comic performances ever!
Couldn't make it throughBy Kittikaz (31 reviews) from Lincolnshire , 17 Sep 2013When you choose to watch Hugh Grant you kind of know what you're going to get, and I don't mind him in movies, as for SJP, I never saw SITC but I liked her in The Family Stone, so I was open to how this movie would rate... ....I turned it off halfway through, despite a couple of moments that made me smile. I didn't feel there was any connection between the 2 main characters, and SJP became so annoying I rather started to feel for Grant's character - she was just too OTT for me and after another tantrum too many, I reached for the stop button. I did enjoy Sam Elliot and Mary Steenburgen's characters though.
Did you Hear About the Morgans?By BrilliantTrees (172 reviews) from Surrey, UK , 08 Jul 2013Grant & Paker are not matched for this film, which I didn't find funny. I watched it to the end, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Did you hear about the Morgans? A great family film.By a customer , 25 Mar 2013I liked this film and so did my husband. He liked it so much hebought it. It's easy going and a film the whole family can watch. It has light humour and you find yourself laughing with the characters. It's nice to sit down and relax with without worrying if there is something in there that might offend someone or not be suitable for children. It's a nice, happy, funny film. Give it a go.
