They Don't Make 'Em Like This Anymore!By EricOlthwaite (1 review) from Huddersfield , 06 Dec 2009
[Highly rated reviewer]and we should be grateful that they don't.
Even allowing for it's age it's dreadful. No suspense, wooden performances and hilariously appalling script.

Die Hard 2 (1990)By Teebs (160 reviews) from Rochester , 03 Dec 2009Solid enough sequel to the brilliant original. The special effects look a little shaky now and what it has in terms of the scale of explosions, it really lacks in the originals claustrophobic setting. It also suffers from a rather flimsy and vague plot revolving around some rogue army units and an anti-communist drug dealer, but Willis anchors the film in a level of plausibility and wit right until the rather sentimental ending.
Die Hard 2: Die HarderBy Tom93M (2 reviews) from Lancashire, England , 22 Jun 2009Deciding weather or not to watch Die Hard 2 depends on you answering the following question: Did you like the first film? If you answered yes, then you should definitely check 'Die Harder' out because its more of the same explosive action and cool one-liners that were enjoyed the first time. If you answered no, then quite simply don't watch the film, its very similar to the first - John McClane (Bruce Willis) must save the day from another terrorist plot, but this time in the airport, where he is waiting for his wife to land so they can spend Christmas together. The film has all you'd expect from a good action movie - explosions, gun-fights, one-liners and a decent amount of blood. In conclusion, if you like the first film then Im sure you'll enjoy this one too.

THE SAY LIGHTNING NEVER STRIKES TWICE...THEY WERE WRONG!By MAVERICK (70 reviews) from Knottingley , 24 Apr 2009
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideThe film came out way back in the summer of 1990, Die Hard 2 (Die Harder) has always been underrated as a sequel. Sure the film has it's faults with the story taking place exactly a year after the classic first movie, and again has McClanes wife in peril, this time high in the sky above Washington DC, and her being on the exact same fligh as TV news hound Dick Thorn who she punched at the end of the first movie. All this is a little too much to believe, but DIE HARD is all about the thrill, and at least this movie does have fun with inconveniences, as Willis spouts 'How can the same **** happen to the same guy twice?', it's as if he was reading the viewers minds. The film is much bigger, having Willis battle with the Terrorist's in an airport this time, and this does make the film less claustraphobic and zaps some of the tension. But when the action takes place some of it is as good as the first movie as Director Renny Harlin (Cliffhanger, A Nightmare On Elm Street Part 4, Deep Blue Sea) pulls out all the stops, The best scene's being when McClane comes up from the runway grilling, only to be confronted by a landing aircraft, and the cold hearted crash landing of a passanger jet, as the terrorist show who is in control. These scene alone is worth watching the film for. The action is just as violent as the first, but with a much higher body count. Although the terrorist are nowhere near as slick as in the first chapter, there is a good double cross, and the final fight on the wing of a Boeing 747 is a great show stopper. Yes the film is just a rehash of the first, and the some of the plotting is a bit far fetched, but as a comic book action film with a great hero, the film is a great guilty pleasue, and can stand as a very good sequel to the masterly original.
