For an action movie to stand the test of time it has to have something watchable in it, and after enjoying 1,2 and 3 in quick sucession before viewing this, we were not dissapointed with the previous encounters, or ineed this one.
Bang up to date, our one man army McClane is in the thick of it once again by being in the wrong (or right) place at the wrong (or right) time.
Its an all action gamble of a movie that takes all the right turns and does everything you would want it to. The whole collection of these are deserved cinema hits, and this is no exception, a must watch for any action fans, in fact any fans of the big screen.- Was this review helpful to you?

It Just drags on so Long
By blackpolekev (226 reviews) from blackpole , 03 Jun 2013At the start of Diehard [sic] 4. 0 McClane is stalking/spying on his daughter who, surprise, surprise (!), is a goody two shoes (well what else would you expect from a DH movie?). Nice to see the taxpayers' money being well spent (!) [Just to explain for the benefit of DH fans, that's sarcasm]. Before long McClane gets another assistant, this time computer whizz-kid Justin Long, and then comes the first explosion. An explosion in a DH movie? - wow, never saw that coming. [More sarcasm]. Still there is just one good thing: no sign of Holly McClane's stupid face or stupid pie-hole.

Not as good as the third, but worth watching!
