Huge movieBy James Corrigan from Exeter , 12 Jul 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]I'm of that particular British mould that says Disney is a cynical, right-wing, bible-belt American conspiracy machine in a league with Microsoft, McDonalds and Walmart; intent on spreading the American way across the diversity and charm of the rest of the world. But... I loved this film. Incredible animation, good characterisation, moral not shoved too far down your throat. The kids couldn't get enough of it, so now we have our own copy. Oh well... the exception that proves the rule...!

It's what Blu Ray was invented forBy TragicMagic (9 reviews) from Chippenham, Cambridgeshire , 23 Aug 2009As Disney films go, this doesn't quite wrap you up in cotton wool and shower you in fluffy love, but Dinosaur is a great little movie that attempts to prove to children that not all Dinosaurs are big, scaly and utterly horrible.
The plotline is ponderous but the 1hr 19m film length doesn't drag too much. It's enjoyable for kids to watch and not too sugar-coated that adults can enjoy it too.
What makes this worth watching, however, is the imagery. Visually stunning, the effects are brilliant, even for a film nine years old, and in Blu-Ray format you can't help but be amazed.
Compared to some of the 'visually stunning' blu-ray films released this year, this old one is probably better.
The steady plotline brings the rating down from a Very Good, but the excellent effects stop it from being an Average film.
DinosaurBy a customer from Atherstone , 29 Jul 2009This was very good. Bit too old for my grandchildren but I really enjoyed it.
I bet my kids will love this ... when they're a bit olderBy claireandrich (14 reviews) from nr yelverton , 28 Jul 2009My son is completely bonkers about dinosaurs. Dinosaurs and pirates together form his entire world-view, methinks. But this film was just a bit too grown up for him. He's not quite three, so I expect it will appeal to a wide audience, just wait till they're a little older.
brilliantBy SANO (12 reviews) from Salford , 12 Sep 2008i love this disney film, if your into dinosaurs or not this film is funny, sad, edge of your seat watching...and its a disney cartoon/film for kids!!!! you can/could never be too old to watch it and if your child is learning about prhistoric times, or dinosaurs, this film gives a great insight to the behavioural nature of these creatures. i cant fault this film and recommend it to children and adults everywhere!!! a must see disney classic
A fantastic family film, or to pass the time.By tunnelweb (188 reviews) from Hamilton , 08 Aug 2008A fantastic family film, or to pass the time. The effects are brilliant, as is the score. However, the plot is very thin and heavily derived, characters 2D, and, let's face it, it's not very accurate, is it? But, hey, they did spend a fortune adding grass digitally - crazy, given they had gone for a realistic grass-free (grass hadn't evolved yet during the age of dinosaurs). But, hey, I guess a world without grass is just too much for a human mind to cope with on the big screen!
