Both of the leads in the French action flick DISTRICT 13 practice parkour, a kind of urban gymnastics that looks a little like skateboarding without the skateboard, and the pleasure of this short frenetic film is watching the two lithe heroes leap through windows, run up walls, and jump off buildings. Viva la Pakour

    WOW WOW WOW WOW.

Forget your van Damne, forget dare I say it Jackie Chan and forget even Ong Bak.

The action in this film is amazing in particular the opening chase and the casino scene. Even the fight scenes are well crafted.

If you admired the wacky French PAkour boys (BBC did the advert of the guy getting home to watch telly) jumping and flying then check this out.

Don't bother with the crap English dubbing stick with the french language and subtitles. Sit back and enjoy

    Woah!

I rented this with no expectations, and was totally blown away by the action. This is a seriously entertaining film for those who like their action fast and brutal. As with most actions movies though, don't expect anything above average acting and plot (which is a cheap rip-off of Escape From New York) - this film's about jumping, falling, hitting and being hit.

The two main leads do their own stunts (from what I could gather from the DVD extra features) and their background in parkour and martial arts shines through. This really is up there with Ong Bak and Project A as a classic stunt flick.

    Cunning Stunts.

Overall film gets 2 stars because the acting and storyline are woefull. The action is reasonably good though and fast paced but instead of bolting it on to a script just show us the leads doing what they do best (jumping and rolling).

    Painful Dubbing

Only bearable watching in French with English subtitles. The dubbing is the worst encountered.

    Cracking movie

Made me want to jump out of my window (luckily I live on the ground floor) but only 'cos the live action stunts are so cool they'd inspire anyone to try parkour. With an unknown cast of fresh faces and energetic actors, the plot of this film may put you mind of 'Escape from New York', but that's no bad thing. French action film that delivers plenty of 'on the edge' thrills

    OMG, dull......

Managed about 30 minutes of this dire film. Parkour chase is really great, but the acting is a wooden as it gets and the english dubbibg is the worst I have seen.

    pure wensleydale

I thought transporter 2 was, well, a bit poo. This manages to run it very close as one of the worst films i have ever seen. Plenty of dire acting and dialogue (dubbed version) but the worst part by far was the stupid action scenes. We can find considerably more entertaing urban gymnastics on google video without having to be subjected to a most dreadful and cheesy storyline.

To b generous I have given it 1 star for the chavtastic scooby, that brings a whole new meaning to the term 'bulletproof'.

    Short Sharp Shock

Brilliant stunts from the Parkour lot, jumping impossible jumps, walking up walls, escaping through frightenningly small holes. Well worth watching just to watch these guys perform.

    Awful

Ok, the parkour sequence is very good. But the rest of the film is so tragically cr@p it really doesn't matter. Avoid!
