In the scenic town of Cradle Bay, the teen population is remarkably well-behaved. It's up to the scruffy new arrivals to uncover the diabolical means by which the town's grown-ups exert their influence. Read more

A somewhat dumb variation on The Stepford Wives (qv), played as a comedy and designed for a teenage audience.
"...Armed with a script by the ever-clever Scott Rosenberg..."
Katie Holmes showed some good acting here, a very different role to First Daughter Film. I really liked this film, where parents enrol their children into a school programme that completely changed them into the perfect student. If you liked The Faculty, you'll like this thriller/scary movie.
As these movies go, I rather enjoyed this one. Great to watch on a weekend, along with other movies that just offer mindless entertainment.

A man moves to a new town and gets harassed by these annoyingly perfect 'good kids'. He makes friends with the local rejects, one of which is a conspiracy theorist, another who is an albino, and a third who soon becomes a romantic interest. Together they discover that the jocks are actually lobotomized zombies and that they're next in line.
Stepford Kids.
And a crappy trailer that once again tells you all you need to know.
End of...!
Great fun & original. It's one of my favourites & might watch it again.
The town children are being turned in to robots by an evil scientist, Only the New Kid and the school caretaker seem to notice.
Katie holmes is the grungy 'love' interest.
at only 80 minutes i suspected this would be bad but gave it the benefit of the doubt. No plot development followed by a rushed 'climax' and a happy ever after scene that had not even been hinted at, and the worst and most baffling twist i have ever seen. The words 'tacked on' seem to apply to the last 10 minutes.
Watch 'Children of The Damned', or 'The Faculty' which are far more effective on the same theme.
bad, bad, bad
Like stepford wives but with teenagers best thing about it was the end credits!
Steve (James Marsden) and his family move to the insular town of Cradle Bay, with the hopes of putting a tragic family death behind them and starting anew. However, all isn't as it seems in this faultless suburbia, as angst ridden teens transform overnight into perfect drones with instant membership to the exclusive 'Blue Ribbon' club.
Much maligned by critics and eclipsed by the success of 'The Faculty', 'Disturbing Behaviour' is a witty teen horror with sharp writing and future stars, the likes of which we haven't seen assembled since the unlikely cast of cult favourite 'Empire Records'!
OK, the movie isn't without its faults. Apart from Nick Stahl's excellent performance as the archetypal 'stoner dude', the acting is fairly flat, and the plot loses itself half way through and decays into clich?s and nonsense - but don't let all the negatives put you off an otherwise entertaining, if flawed, 80 minutes of teen-trash.
The DVD itself is slightly disappointing. Whilst picture quality is sharp, the colours are slightly dark and murky. The 5.1 Dolby Sound has some great rear effects, but speech appears distant and unevenly spaced.
Extras include filmography & facts, a theatrical trailer and a music video. However, the DVD is missing any form of commentary or deleted scenes, which must exist, as the unseen footage is paraded at various points in the trailer.
In all - 'Disturbing Behaviour' is a light-weight and enjoyable teen flick for the weekend!
