Divine, the hulking transvestite probably best known for his starring roles in John Waters films like RINK FLAMINGOS and HAIRSPRAY, also became a popular singer in the 1980s with songs like "Native Love," and "Born to be Cheap." Divine's singing career began when he was booked for an appearance at the Copa Disco in Florida. After arriving, Divine soon realized the crowd expected a disco act, and hastily put together an act that wowed the crowd and lead almost immediately to a recording contract. This DVD compiles two shows recorded in England only nine months apart during 1983.

    Rip-off rubbish

    Don't think that you are going to be anything other than annoyed and disapointed by renting this disk out.

    It consists entirely of very badly filmed concerts in the 80's. This is a cynical excercise in getting Divine fans to part with cash.

    Fat man in a frock

    I love drag, I love cabaret, but what a load of tosh this disc was. It wasn't drag, it wasn't anything other than a fat man shouting into a microphone. Each 'song' sounded the same, and after fast tracking I'd viewed the whole 40 minute disc in about 3 minutes, and what a waste of three minutes. Don't buy it, don't hire it unless you are a totally and utterly committed fan.
