Please do not give up on this film, no matter how confused or lost you may feel after the first 20 minutes. Those first 20 minutes are incredibly stylish, with a whole series of short set piece scenes which appear to be all over the place. As the film moves on you begin to see how they all fit in, like pieces in a jigsaw. Indeed, pieces in a jigsaw is perhaps a fair description of this whole portrayal of Giulio Andreotti, because there is no one killer piece of evidence against this long-lived, long in power Italian politician, yet each small fact fits with another to form an overall picture of a very dangerous man. This is political story-telling of the greatest style and intelligence.
